I have never written in a blog before and this is my maiden voyage into the blogosphere. My grandmother always told me that you couldn't teach an old dog new tricks so we will have to see if this old dog can learn anything new
I have alway written. I learned to read before I went to school and was enthralled when I learned that I could use those same letters to express the thoughts in my head for others to read. I was in love. Now I want to use the same medium of words to share some of my mostly random thoughts with others.
I have been following the posts of my family and have been so blessed by their honest sharing of both the good and the bad in their lives. Many of their posts have triggered thoughts of principles that my mom and grandmother taught me, principles that are based on bedrock truths of life. They were both strong women and they shaped my thinking for good and for life. As this blog develops, I want to share their wisdom with others. They were amazing and great fun to know.
I have also wanted to write stories of my childhood. Stories to entertain and stories to illustrate a life principle. I went to a one room school and have lots of fun tales of life in the early 1950's small country school. And we had a large extended family with great people and great stories.
So this blog will be filled with a little bit of this and that, but hopefully it will be entertaining and hopefully enlightening.
